We are enjoying a brief visit from Stan who has a break from school. Shedding some tears because Bethany is moving to Sacramento to complete her Bachelor's program in Speech Pathology. (I'm so glad to still have Nathaniel at home. He's becoming a great friend.) Bethany is excited to be working with her professor on a project that gives her some great experience in testing and some treatment. Something she would normally not get until she's in a Master's program.
I am taking things a day at a time. Still have about three months of treatment. My oncologist is referring me to a surgeon to discuss some possibilities of surgery. Pray with me about that. God is good and allowing me enough strength for each day.

- My first priority has always been my relationship with God. I remember, even as a little girl, running to His arms with my needs. I have been married to a wonderful man, Clayton Brown, for 30 years. He pastors full time and works part time and still manages to put our family in the right place in his heart. I have four wonderful children. Stanley, 26, is attending Sac State accelerated Nursing Program. He is a great listener and I love him for his big brother skills. Bethany, 23, is attending CSU Sacramento and is a 4th year Speech Pathology Student. She has a wonderful rapport with children and we are hoping that her field of study will grow into a career with kids. She teaches Sunday School and works at Jamba Juice part time. She is the most gentle and loving person you will ever meet. Sarah, 21, works full time as an Office Manager. She is full of life and adds drama to our lives. Nathaniel, 17, is a senior in High School and works at In and Out. We love his wit and charm. He is the perfect little brother.

Oh, you've taken me back to the time when our nest was emptied out. What an experience! Will be praying with you - for guidance and strength.
Having children, Janiver, is bittersweet, isn't it. We want them to grow up, to advance, to be successful, yet when they leave to do that, our hearts are broken.
