On Tuesday, our good friends Dennis and Valda Johnson from Albany, Oregon came by to have a meal with us. They also gave me a prayer cloth that had been prayed over on my behalf in their home church. I'm still believing for a miracle. I believe God has promised me many more years.
It is so refreshing to be with long - time friends. To pick up the threads and renew the old bonds with new memories. The older I grow, the more I cherish friends...old and new. They enrich me with fresh insights and outlooks, causing me to grow and stretch.
I'm learning to live with the chemo treatments and side effects. Learning to anticipate the next phase of discomfort and to forestall it with antidotes. Thank you for your prayers and comfort. For you do comfort me....more than you can know unless you too have suffered. We suffer in many ways in life, but He is the God of ALL comfort. Bless His Name.

- My first priority has always been my relationship with God. I remember, even as a little girl, running to His arms with my needs. I have been married to a wonderful man, Clayton Brown, for 30 years. He pastors full time and works part time and still manages to put our family in the right place in his heart. I have four wonderful children. Stanley, 26, is attending Sac State accelerated Nursing Program. He is a great listener and I love him for his big brother skills. Bethany, 23, is attending CSU Sacramento and is a 4th year Speech Pathology Student. She has a wonderful rapport with children and we are hoping that her field of study will grow into a career with kids. She teaches Sunday School and works at Jamba Juice part time. She is the most gentle and loving person you will ever meet. Sarah, 21, works full time as an Office Manager. She is full of life and adds drama to our lives. Nathaniel, 17, is a senior in High School and works at In and Out. We love his wit and charm. He is the perfect little brother.

The girl in our church who has cancer has a little trick that works to alleviate nausea and sores.
Maalox 1/2 hour before chemo. It coats from the throat to the stomach. It is an anti-acid, and has been an incredible asset to her.
Be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, neither be though dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee wherever thou goes!!!!

As one song puts it, "Friends are friends forever." It's nice to hear you had a great time with friends and that you are finding some antidotes to make treatment a little more bearable. I'm believing with you for your miracle.
